From the President of California Released Time Christian Education, Association: Forrest Turpen
I am pleased to be able to lead California Released Time Christian Education Association into a new phase of expansion to reach more school children with the Good News that God loves them.
I have worked in public education as a teacher and principal and after 20 years the Lord opened the door to serve as Executive Director for Christian Educators Assn. Int'l. I am presently CEAI West Coast Regional Director and editorial director of "Teachers of Vision "magazine. I count it a privilege to serve as President of CA-RT. My point of view is simple: we have a God-given responsibility to be "salt and light: to our culture and one significant step is to serve the local public schools where the next generation is being trained and instilled with values. As Jesus stated in Matt. 18:14 "Thus it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish."
I would like to encourage you to email me at forrest@ceai.org to express your thoughts on how we can work together. Our goal is to start more Released Time Christian Education programs in order to reach more schools and in turn reach more children with God's message of His Truth and His Love.
I look forward with great optimism for solidifying and promoting a VISION to advance this ministry across California. Consider volunteering in your city to help an existing Released Time Ministry. If there isn't one, consider starting one. Your church, adult class or small group can minister to God's Children by serving a local public school. California Released Time has resources to help you. Mission Statement
The Mission of California Released Time Christian Education Association (CRTCEA) is to help Christians start Released Time Ministries and to prayerfully guide, train and encourage these and existing Released Time Ministries for the benefit of California’s public school children.
